Our Organisation

AES employs 3 full-time staff in offices in Nairobi, Kenya and in the United Kingdom. We also hire and partner with consultants, and we have partnerships with carbon project developers and credit buyers.

Our office in Nairobi is well placed as Nairobi continues to act as the regional hub for trade and finance in East Africa. Through our presence in the UK we have strong links to international engineering, finance and development sectors enabling us to establish partnerships at both strategic and technical levels.

Our Skills

We have local expertise and we are on the ground in Africa. We have skills in civil engineering, environment, and corporate law and social responsibility which we harness to enhance project design and management.

Our team has several years work experience in East and West Africa with public and private sectors and strong links to international engineering, finance and development sectors. We have:

 
  • Experience in design and management of energy technology, power generation, distribution and infrastructure development
  • Experience of establishing environmental, sustainable development, and corporate responsibility management systems.
  • Capacity building, training and organizational development skills
  • Knowledge of international development and climate change strategies
  • Strong organizational skills and experience of managing projects
  • Project finance skills
  • International business and deal negotiating experience
  • Strong quantitative skills, financial analysis and creating models for new business or stand-alone projects
